1.World AIDS Day: 1 December
World AIDS Day is celebrated annually on December 1 by Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome to increase public awareness about AIDS. World AIDS Day 2017 theme ‘right to health’.This is a pandemic disease caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.
2.India, Singapore Sign Agreement on Boosting Naval Cooperation
India and Singapore agreements to improve naval cooperation. This agreement improves the security of sea routes between the two countries. Singapore Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen is in India and has signed an agreement with Defense Minister Nirmala Seetharaman.A Navy has signed a naval agreement between the two countries, which allows temporary rules and logistic support in each of the settlements.
3.The IMF new USD 88 billion credit line is approved for Mexico
The International Monetary Fund has approved a $ 88 billion credit line for Mexico.Two years of flexible credit line IMF will increase Mexico’s ability to deal with the energy needed for liquidity without requiring the loan.
4.Nagaland Celebrates 54th Statehood Day
Nagaland is ready to celebrate the 54th Statehood Day and the 18th Hornbill Festival in 2017 at the Kisama Naga Heritage Village.The event will be attended by President Rajnath Khandind for the first time in the state. 5.Govt Fixes Sovereign Gold Bonds Rate at Rs 2,952/gram
The new government has decided that the price of golden bonds (rural bonds) is Rs 2,952 per gram. The Government, which contacted the Reserve Bank of India, decided to pay Rs 50 a discount and digital payments to the applicants online.The issue price will be Rs 2,902 a gram for investors applying online and the payment through digital mode.

7.S K Chourasia Appointed as DGOF and Chairman of Ordnance Factory Board
Shri Sunil Kumar Chourasia, Indian Ordnance Factory Service Officer (IOFS), Ordnance Factory’s new Director General (DGOF) and Ordnance Factory Board Chairman (OFB) w.e.f. December 1, 2017. Previously he was responsible for the Member, OFB and Material & Division Divisions.
8.The Cabinet approved the National Nutrition Mission
The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the creation of National Nutrition Mission (NMM) with a budget of Rs. 9046.17 crore from 2017-18.The aim is to reduce the program stunting, low nutrition, anemia and low birth weight children. More than 10 crore people benefit from this program. It will provide government budget support (50%) and 50% by IBRD or other MDB.

Former Miss Asia Pacific Dia Mirza was appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador of the UN Environment in India. 11.BSF Raising Day: 1 December
Border Security Force (BSF), the sentinels of Indian borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh, celebrated its 52nd Anniversary of Raising Day on 1st December.The BSF is the world’s largest defense boundary. It came into being on 1 December 1965. The BSF Indo-Pakistani International Border, Indo-Bangladesh International Border, also controlled the Indian Army along with Anti Naxal Operations.
