1.Ministry of Home Affairs(MHA) Conducted Multi State Mega Mock Tsunami Exercise 2017
ITEWC (The Indian Tsunami Early Warning Centre) based at INCOIS (Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services) had conducted “Multi-State Mega Mock Exercise of Tsunami for East Coast of India”.
West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, and the Disaster Management Authority of the States. The Mac Drill was organized in collaboration with the Home Ministry (MHA) and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
2.In the U-23 senior World Wrestling Championship, Ritu Phagot won silver
Ritu Phagot won silver medal in the Under-23 Senior World Wrestling Championship in Poland. At the age of 23, she lost to Turkish Wrestler Demirhan with a gold medal in women’s 48 kg category.
In the semi-finals, Ritu Chinese wrestler Jiang Zhu reached 4-3 points to reach the finals.
3.Lionel Messi won the fourth European Golden Shoe Award
Lionel Messi attracted Cristiano Ronaldo’s level of four European Golden Shoes after being awarded at the ceremony in Barcelona and Spain. FC Barcelona Superstar Prize – Europe’s best goalscorer – 2016-17 for his 37th league attacks.
This was the fourth time that Messi took in honor of his success in 2010, 2012 and 2013.
5.Axis Bank launched the BlackCine based international payment service
Private sector bank Axis Bank has launched an instant international payment service using the company Blackchine Technology Solution, to replace retail and corporate customers.
Despite being an international offer, the Bank is offering its retail customers payments from the Rick Bank in UAE and pay for its corporate customers from Singapore to receive payments from Standard Chartered, Singapore.
6.FDI grew by 17 per cent to $ 25.35 billion
Foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country rose by 17 per cent to $ 25.35 billion in the April-September period of financial year (2017-18).
The department of industrial policy and promotion stated on its ‘Make in India’ twitter handle.By 2017-18, FDI equity increased by 17 per cent to $ 25.35 billion in September. In the previous year, investment was $ 21.62 billion.
7.Shubandi Swaroop Indian Navies First Female Pilot
In a first, a woman has been inducted as a pilot in the Indian Navy. Shubhangi Swaroop, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, will soon be flying Maritime Reconnaissance aircraft.
Three other women cadets, Astha Segal from New Delhi, Roopa A from Puducherry and Sakthi Maya S from Kerala, also created history by becoming the country’s first women officers at the Naval Armament Inspectorate (NAI) branch of the Navy.
