1. Ivanka Trump arrives at Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Hyderabad
The first South Asian edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), organized by NITI Aayog in partnership with the United States and Telangana in Hyderabad .
US President Donald Trump’s advisor and daughter Ivanka Trump, headed by the US delegation for GES 2017, participated in a meeting at the Hyderabad International Convention Center (HICC). Summit theme this year highlights “First-First, Good for All”.
Note:GES was previously held in Washington DC, Istanbul, Dubai, Marrakech, Nairobi, Kuala Lumpur, and Silicon Valley.
2.India won 10 medals at the Para Badminton World Championship
In the BWF Paral Badminton World Championship in Ulsan, South Korea, India won 10 medals, including two golds.
In the women’s singles standing lower (SL3) finals, India’s Parul Parmar defeated Wannaphatdee Kamtam of Thailand. Parul Parmar and other gold medals won in the final of the women’s doubles in Japan’s Akiko Sugino (SL 3-4).
3.India won 5 gold medals at World Youth Boxing
India won five gold medals at AIBA World Youth Youth Boxing in Guwahati.
Gold medals won for India Netu (48kg), Jyothi Gulia (51kg), Sakshi Chaudhary (54kg), Shashi Chopra (57k) and Ankushita Boro (64kg). Jyoti Gulia is also eligible for Youth Olympic Games for next year in Argentina. Ankushita is nominated for boxer tournament.
4.7th World Military Games in Wuhan, China
7th International Military Games are held in Wuhan City in Hubei District in Central China. Military World Games (CISM) of the International Military Sports Council is a major sporting event for military personnel.It has 329 competitions in 27 categories and has around 8,000 participating from more than 100 countries and regions.

5.The Indian Men and Women team won the 2017 Asian Kabaddi Championship
Indian men and women’s kabaddi teams became Asian champions after defeating Pakistan and South Korea at Gorgan in Iran.Star rider Ajay Thakur leading the men’s final, as India defeated its rival Pakistan 36-22. Indian women beat South Korea 42-20 in final.
6.NK Singh was appointed Chairman of the 15th Finance Commission
Government Revenue Secretary NK Singh said the government would be the Chairman of the 15th Finance Commission (FC), which recommends distribution of taxes between the central and state governments.Former Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikatash Das, Anup Singh, Professor of Georgetown University, Former Chief Economic Advisor Ashok Lahiri, Agriculture Specialist and Smt Commissioner Sri Ramesh Chand. Chand and Lahiri Part Time Members. The Commission will submit its report by October 30, 2019.
7.ADB expanded Indian debt to $ 20 for 5 years
Asia Development Agency (ADB) has announced that the $ 4bn increase in annual financial transactions in India for $ 2.7 billion annually. Thus, ADB’s largest recipient, India receives $ 20 billion in approximately 5 years. In this strategy, ADB’s annual universal funding from $ 2 billion to $ 3 billion and private sector financing will double.
8.Professor Hiroshi Mouni 3 ICCR won the prestigious Indologist award
Third Indian Cultural Relations Council (ICCR) honored with the prestigious Indigologist Award in a function hosted by President Ramnath Kovin, Japan Professor Hiroshi Mouni at the Presidential Palace. Prof. Mouni served for 40 years of Indian Philosophy and Buddhist Studies. He was president of the Japanese and Indian Buddhist Studies Institutions and provided significant contributions to Indology in Japan.
9.Shashikant Das is India’s Sherpa in G20
The Ministry of Finance has appointed former Shikshakanta Das Secretary of Economic Affairs as the G-20 Sherpa of India for development track of the group. G-20 has two tracks- the finance track and development track. The Finance Track manages the G-20 as the deputy of India by the Secretary (Economic Affairs) and coordinated by Development Track Sherpa.
10.The first edition of Enspire 2017 started in Jaipur
Energy Efficiency (INSPIRE 2017) In Jaipur, Rajasthan, the first edition of International Seminar was organized to promote innovation and research.Five-day seminar was organized by Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) with the Partnership with World Bank and Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE). Its aim was to provide a common platform for discussing energy efficiency policies, emerging technologies, market change strategies, distribution and business-model-driven changes for the energy efficiency community.
