1.SAUBHAGYA Scheme Launched in Manipur

SAUBHAGYA(Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojan) was launched in Manipur,by R.K. Singh, Union Minister of State (IC) for Power and New & Renewable Energy) and N. Biren Singh, Chief Minister of Manipu. About 1.75 lakh households in Manipur (1.62 lakh rural households and 0.13 lakh urban houses) are included under this scheme.

2.Mirabai won the gold medal at IWFWWC

Mirabai chanu was the first Indian to have been a gold medal at the World Weightlifting Championship in Anaheim, USA for two decades. In establishing a new national record, Chanu chose a 85kg snatch and 109 kg in clean and jerk for a 194kg impressive amount of women in 48kg.Olympic bronze medal winner Karnam Malleshwari won the world’s highest award in 1994 and 1995. World top weightlifting countries such as Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Azerbaijan have not participated in the competition due to problems related to doping.

3.Skill India partners with Airbnb to Upskill hospitality Entrepreneurs

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship’s implementation arm National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Tourism and Hospitality Sector Skill Council (THSC) signed a tripartite agreement with Airbnb to provide hospitality skills to host micro-entrepreneurs in India.Through partnership, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship’s implementation arm National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Airbnb and Tourism and Hospitality Sector Skill Council (THSC) work together to create an accredited expertise module for hospitality professionals providing housing facilities, unique facilities and local experience.

4.IOA Formally Recognises Boxing Federation of India

The Boxing Federation of India (BFI) is recognized as a national organization by the Indian Olympic Association, which has been terminated after months of suspended Indian amateur boxing federation (IABF). The International Boxing Association, the Sports Ministry has already recognized the BFI and finally IOA’s approved. The IOA’s decision also seeks to restore the efforts of IABF’s.

5.Odisha CM Unveils Logo & Mascot of Hockey World Cup 2018

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has released the 2018 Hockey World Cup, logo and mascot at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. Odisha has recently successfully conducted Asian Athletics Championships.16 countries including hostess India will participate in the 14th edition of the Hockey World Cup. The Chief Minister also launched a countdown timer at the international event in Bhubaneswar next year.

6.One rupee note turns 100 years on 30th November 2017

This small paper note from India travels through an exciting historic journey around the world since issuing for the public. The argument over the government’s decision to scrap high-value currency notes is still tense, our root note has been completed over a century! The first rupee note was printed with photo of King George V in India on November 30, 1917. This is the time when India was under British rule.
